Here's the little Mouse tote bag that I stitched up today with my new Jenome sewing machine I purchased recently.  My older model Singer was giving me fits, so I broke down and bought a new machine.  It is wonderful and I even read the directions.

The goodie tote bags will be given during the holiday season to the children at Favor House, a domestic violence shelter that World of Charity Stitching donates to.

Little Mouse for WOCS

Our charity stitching group, World of Charity Stitching, is making small animal face pieces that were designed by Emily, at The Floss Box and I chose a little mouse face.  It turned out really cute and was a quick stitch project.  I also did a little face (without the wording) that I'll put on a notebook cover to go along with the tote bag I will make for a child in a domestic violence shelter, one of the charities we support.

I also signed up for the Panda face, but haven't finished it yet.

We plan to fill the totes for the children with small items for the holiday season at the end of the year.

If anyone wishes to get some free patterns and/or very reasonably priced ones,  you can click here http://www.theflossbox.com/  to view Emily's charts.

Love Quilts Finish

I've finished another Love Quilts square, this one for a girl named Breanna, who loves butterflies and flowers.   Since I, too, love butterflies and flowers, this was the perfect choice for me to stitch a beautiful square for a beautiful little girl.

This chart was a freebie from Maria Diaz, whose website is:  http://www.mariadiazdesigns.com/mdd/free.php
Maria offers a nice freebie pattern about once a month.

WOCS-Bowler - Round Robin

My group, World of Charity Stitching, recently started a Round Robin of Sports squares.  I picked a bowler as my piece and finished him recently.  I bowl in a Friday night league with my husband, sister-in-law, and a friend;  and I do a lot of my stitching there, during the breaks between my turn to bowl.  I have a bright light I use, as the lighting in the bowling alley leaves a lot to be desired.  Many people ask me what I am doing and I am always glad to share my love of cross stitching.  I have even recruited one lady, Staci,  to join our group from one of the other bowling alleys where I substitute bowl for a lady who recently had surgery.   Staci has already finished a Silly Cow square and is working hard on her garden square that she signed up for.
