My Very Own Giveaway for My One Year Blog Anniversary

These items will be mailed to a lucky winner!

Rules for contest entry:

You can get up to 3 entries per person and I will pick the winner using a random number generator.

1. Please leave a comment on this post telling a little about your hobby: cross stitching, quilting, or whatever it might be.
2. For a second entry, become a follower of my blog.

3. If you blog about my contest, tweet, or Facebook, you can enter a third time, but please leave me the link.

The winner will be chosen on 8/5/11, the one year anniversary of my stitching blog; I will let everyone know who the lucky winner is by posting the name on my blog and will also send the winner a personal email.  The winner must respond within 72 hours, or another winner will be chosen.

I need a way to contact you if you win, so please leave a name/email address.  Thanks for visiting my blog and I hope you will return for updates.

*Due to the high cost of shipping to other countries, I am sorry, but I have to limit my giveaway to the United States only.
Good luck to all.  Peggy

Tote Bag Finish for WOCS

This tote bag will be donated to the Favor House in Pensacola, FL; it is a domestic violence shelter for women and their children.  I've been collecting small gifts, such as books, colors, card, coloring books, etc. to place inside the bags.  The children will have a little something to brighten their holidays, at a time when they have been uprooted from familiar surroundings, friends, family and are scared because they don't understand what is happening.    These totes are very easy to sew and the small stitched piece is bright and colorful.

A Delicious Apple Pie for a Senior Lady's Lap Quilt

I finished this piece before going on vacation to Virginia recently, but still need to wash and press it for one of our gifted quilters, Bonnie, who will make it into a beautiful lap quilt for a senior lady at the nursing home where we donate some of our gifts.   There are a lot of beautiful pieces being stitched for this quilt and if you'd like to view some of them, you can go to our group blog at http://www.worldofcharitystitching.blogspot.com/
or our FB page
http://www.facebook.com/pages/World-of-Charity-Stitching-Cross-Stitch-Quilting/208593035822435

The ladies of our group are busy stitching all types of squares for totes, walker or wheelchair bags,  and lap quilts.  And, we will be opening some new themes for future quilts very soon.  If you'd care to join us in some stitching fun, we would love to have you.
