A Birth Announcement for a Friend

This birth announcement was started back in December when I heard about a new baby on the way, my friend Tim's and his wife, Emma's first baby.  I wanted to get a head start so I could finish it not too long after the birth.  I did most of the stitching of the little deer and the grass last year.  Worked on it a little bit here and there, in between other projects. 

Tim told me the name they had picked out, so I stitched that in, and after seeing that it was a little plain, I added the butterflies.   

We gave it to Tim yesterday at the gym where my husband and I play senior volleyball three times a week, and he was so excited to receive it.  He gave me and my husband a big hug, which was very nice.
