Some New Finishes

This Kindle Cover was requested by one of the members of my group, World of Charity Stitching, for a sick boy in Pennsylvania.
This was stitched for World of Charity Stitching for one of our current themes-Teacups.

Another Maple Leaf stitched for WOCS-this one was stitched with a Variegated Thread.

In the Summertime

This is a square I stitched for WOCS.  We are stitching Fruits and Berries.  This chart was a freebie I found on the web a while back and I thought it would make a nice addition to this quilt them.  Looks yummy, doesn't it?

This tote bag I finished recently will be donated to a senior lady at a nursing home, during the upcoming holiday season. These bags are easy to make and they make nice gifts for seniors.  Our group puts some small items in the bags, such as paperback books, playing cards, lotions, pens and notepads.

Contemporary Cloth Fat Quarter Bundle

I won this wonderful bundle of fat quarters:   Pure Elements Fat Quarter bundle given away by Contemporary Cloth at HopefulThreads/Sew BitterSweet Designs!

I've already used a piece of one of the fat quarters to make a pillow for my group, World of Charity Stitching.

Please visit Kristy’s blog to see some of the great charity work she does for others.

I love to enter contests and I enter as many as time allows.  I’ve won several bundles of fabric and cross stitch items.  In fact, I'm waiting to receive another bundle of fabric I won recently from another blog site.

A Few New Finishes

This Chimpanzee was stitched for Love Quilts USA for a little girl, Hart L.  Her quilt will be made up of chips, monkeys,  and apes.
Our group, World of Charity Stitching, is making an Elvis themed quilt and this is my contribution.  I made the chart using PCStitch.  It didn't come out like I would have liked, but I think it will be okay.

We have a birdhouse/birds theme also at WOCS.  I enjoyed stitching this colorful piece.

Just Stitching

I finished this last night for our group, World of Charity Stitching.  It will be given to a senior citizen during the upcoming holiday season.  Our group is making lots of cards for the seniors, so they won't be forgotten, as they sometimes are after they are placed in a care facility.  We hope to be able to brighten their days.

This was a free chart I downloaded from About.com.  It was a little bit challenging, as I don't usually stitch lines and words only.  I think it turned out nicely and I'll make it into a tote or wheelchair bag.

Howling at the Moon

Just finished this piece last night for World of Charity Stitching.   It is for a quilt for a senior.  The theme for this quilt is realistic Forest Animals.  When it is completed, I know a senior gentleman will love having this quilt to warm him on cold winter nights.
