February Stitching

This is the second in a year-long series of charts graciously given to stitchers by Maja of The Snowflower Diaries.  I have already started on March, which is very spring-like. 
This cute little whimsical owl was stitched for Railey, a little girl who wanted owls for her quilt.  Love Quilts USA is putting together a quilt of whimsical owls.  

I enjoyed stitching both of these charts.

    Hello Peggy, I found you via the Smalls SAL because the picture of the owl really appealed to me; it's gorgeous! Having scrolled down your last few posts I'm sure I'm going to enjoy going further back and seeing more of your lovely projects. :)

      Thank you Rachel. I love owls and all kinds of birds and animals. I actually collect owls (figures, pictures, plates, etc.) and have lots of them. This little owl was a freebie from Daily Cross Stitch a while back. This site has a lot of nice charts, with one released daily if you sign up. They recently had a 1/2 off membership ($10) that I purchased and have downloaded more charts from their site. As you can tell, cross stitching is my favorite hobby.
